Just Another Poet
is Wales' first Youtube poetry channel founded by Taz Rahman in May 2019 to widen access to contemporary poets and their poetry.
The channel received its first literary commission in April 2020 from Literature Wales. The 'New Audience Creation Fund 2022' by the Books Council of Wales' supported April 2022-23 programming with a wider focus on promoting poetry, the importance of books in libraries, and independent bookshops, literary festivals, and launches, as well as an exploration of how to connect a diverse audience to poetry and poets. The channel is delighted to receive a further year's support from the Books Council covering summer 2023 to 2024.
The advisory board for the channel includes novelist Hammad Rind, poets Natalie Ann Holborow, Suzanne Iuppa & Jonaki Ray, nature writer Lottie Williams, writer and broadcaster Alun Gibbard, Central Asia cultural Dr. Neil Watson.
